Problem: Needed to track complex user transaction histories, asset holding durations, and trade graphs in real time and automatically evaluate dynamic tier rules to mutate on-chain and off-chain user states and badges without manual intervention.
Architecture: Built an event ingestion pipeline subscribing to live gRPC and RPC blockstreams, decoupling high-velocity event ingestion via bounded Tokio and Redis queues. Fed a custom deterministic rule evaluation engine that computes time-weighted holding curves, executing idempotent state mutations and dynamic badge issuance with zero downtime.
Outcome: Solo-architected and shipped across 4+ production deployments with zero state corruption, handling real-time indexing surges with sub-50ms rule evaluation latency.
2. Day-Zero SDK Engineering on Undocumented Upstream Protocols
Problem: External developer teams needed to integrate brand-new protocol standards (such as programmable asset standards and core state compression) on launch week when official documentation did not exist and upstream SDKs contained breaking bugs.
Architecture: Read raw Rust source code and IDLs directly from upstream GitHub repositories. Reverse-engineered instruction layouts, diagnosed and bypassed SDK bugs, and contributed fixes upstream—including authoring and merging PR #236 into the official Solana Unity SDK. Architected production-grade TypeScript, Rust, and C# wrapper libraries with comprehensive developer guides and working starter templates.
Outcome: Enabled 10+ internal and external engineering teams to ship production integrations weeks ahead of official documentation releases with 0 breaking SDK failures.
3. Autonomous Agent Orchestration (Owais OS) & instabox.sh Sandbox Integration
Problem: Safely executing untrusted code in browser demos without exposing host server security, while running persistent background automation and developer assistance on lean cloud infrastructure.
Architecture: Integrated instabox.sh microVM APIs for sub-second isolated execution on owaisiqbal.dev via a lightweight FastAPI control plane (instabox-py) supporting instant provisioning, command execution, and auto-suspension on idle. Deployed an autonomous operations agent (Jarvis / Owais OS) on an Oracle Cloud ARM node wired to Telegram and a custom management dashboard.
Outcome: Sub-second ephemeral sandboxes for untrusted code execution on owaisiqbal.dev plus a 24/7 background agent system operating with zero human babysitting.
